The La Cienega Blvd Green Infrastructure Corridor Project is a Safe Clean Water Program-funded project led by the City of Los Angeles Sanitation & Environment. The goal of the project is to improve stormwater management and infiltration, and beautify a 0.45-mile stretch of La Cienega Blvd in Los Angeles’ Ladera Heights neighborhood. The project will install several types of stormwater capture and permeability-promoting features to manage local stormwater runoff on site, reduce the flooding risk in this area, and provide water quality benefits to the region. The greening of an unimproved central street median provides the opportunity to improve the area’s aesthetics and extends benefits to residents, pedestrians and local businesses.
At this virtual community meeting, residents will learn more about:
- LA County’s Safe Clean Water Program that provides funding for multi-benefit water quality improvement and stormwater capture projects
- The proposed La Cienega Blvd Green Infrastructure Corridor Project and its goals to improve water quality and the neighborhood’s aesthetics, reduce flooding and create more green space in Ladera Heights
- The project’s next steps and how residents can get involved
Please register to attend this community meeting. If you should have questions about the project, please email san.safecleanwater@lacity.org and place “La Cienega Blvd Project” in the subject line.
